Regensburg
UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE CITY
City tourists love places with diverse cultural life. Not only insiders and bloggers know that it doesn’t always have to be a metropolis. Regensburg, in the heart of Bavaria with its medieval old town, narrow alleys and Patrician towers are full of architectural monuments from Roman and medieval times. The UNESCO world heritage city was the setting of German and European history, which left clear marks. There are still places where walks become voyages of discovery. In 2018, Bavaria celebrated its 200-year old royal constitution and 100 years as a free state. On the occasion of these two anniversaries, Regensburg opened the Museum of Bavarian history at the “Donaumarkt”.
