Award-winning 4-Stars-Route
Since 2017 the Danube cycle path is certified as ADFC 4-star cycle route. The good expanded tracks support a relaxed way of cycling with few or no traffic.
In Germany the Danube bike path is throughout marked with uniform signs.
All signposts have additional signs with the logo of the Danube bike path. In-between there are signs with green arrows.
Most of the the time there are plenty possibilities to stay the night. During the main season (May - October) when many bikers are around, it does make sense to reserve in advance. Some hotels and bike tour organizers offer the transport of your baggage.
We also want to inform you about the great offer in terms of public transport along the Danube. You can board a bus or train in nearly every town.
