Lauterfelsen trail
Blaustein (circular route)
Sometimes rough, sometimes smooth - a tour to the rocky Lauter valley and the Alb plateau is a beautiful hiking experience. From the starting ascent to Oberherrlingen, the hiker gets rewarded with a wonderful first view. Afterwards, the route leads downhill through the Lauter valley with its numerous meanders of the Lauter river towards the source of the Lauter. Following the descents, you will hike a steep but shady ascent to Hohenstein. At the top of the plateau, the forest trail already leads you back through Weidach and the Kiesen valley. The end of the trail is characterized by juniper heaths with a view in the direction of Ulm.
